FORScan ELM327 V1.5 USB

FORScan ELM327 is a scanner special for Ford, Mazda, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles, designed work over FORScan software to make diagnosis and hidden functions programming base on OBD2 protocols.

How Special on FORScan?

There are many OBD2 scanners, but does the FORScan somehow differ? Yes, because it is designed especially for Ford, Mazda, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles. So supports specific features of the manufacturer protocols, making the FORScan more powerful in work with these models than any regular OBD2 scanner.
For example, FORScan can detect modules which are not visible for regular OBD2 scanners, can show you trouble codes which are never displayed by OBD2 scanners, can show you PIDs which are not supported by any OBD2 scanner, run specific tests and service procedures. In other words, FORScan can do things that regular OBD2 scanners can not do.

How To Use:

1.Right-click CH341SER.EXE, choose " Run as administrator" , install the USB Driver.
2.Right-click FORScanSetup2.3.19.beta.exe , choose " Run as administrator", install FORScan
3.Connect the ELM327 diagnostic cable to car and laptop, turn on the ignition of the car. Double click the forscan software icon from desktop to run.

Supported Vehicles

All Ford, Mazda, Lincoln, Mercury vehicles that can be addressed by supported adapters. It is 99% of models after 2000 and around 92% of models after 1996 (the year when OBD2 became a standart in USA).
【Note: New 2019+ Mazda 3 and CX-30 are not supported yet】

On Basis of OBDII Protocol

If you are not sure that your vehicle OBDII compliant or not , look under the hood and try to locate a label that explicitly states that the vehicle was designed to comply with OBDII legislation.

In this case, OBDII is used as a general term and can mean any of the following:

OBD II (California )
EOBD (European )
JOBD (Japanese )

You may also consult your vehicle's owner's manual and perhaps contact your local dealer. However, be aware of the fact that many dealers do not know the difference between OBDI and OBDII.

If the vehicle is not OBDII compliant, you cannot use this USB ELM327 V1.5 OBDII scan tool to obtain diagnostic information and activate hidden functions from your vehicle.

Where is the OBDII Connector?

The OBDII connector normally located in position "A" and "B", and for a few part of vehicles will find it in position "C" and "D"

Problem 1: Connection with the vehicle error under Windows 10 system

Solution:
1/>>>Set the FORScan software Compatibility to "Windows 7".
Right -click the FORScan icon on desktop, Choose " Properties" , Choose "Compatibility", Choose " Windows7 " , then save.

2/>>>Run FORScan software as Administrator.
Right-click FORScan icon, choose " Run as Administrator" , connect the cable to car and laptop, put ignition on to test.

Problem 2: The FORScan Pro scan tool can not connect to computer successfully.

Solution:
>>>Check if the USB Driver installed proerply. Right-click "My computer" --> "Device Manager" --> Ports (COM&LPT) shows "CH340T", if not appearance, please install the USB Driver.
