Description：
A very common oil and coolant leak on all Vauxhall models is from both the oil cooler and the oil filter housing. They are one unit mounted at the front of the engine that usually either leak oil down the front of the engine and or a coolant/oil leak from the cooler or coolant pipes. They can also leak internally inside the oil cooler & filter housing causing the oil and coolant to mix via a leaking internal gasket.

The original gaskets installed cant cope with high engine temperature and exposure to oil and almost always fail, the material they were made from goes hard, brittle, cracks and shrinks hence the leaks. The gaskets installed in the filter housing and the oil cooler and coolant pipes age together and replacing just one of the sets at a time can disturb the other causing that set to also leak. That new leak will only become apparent once youve put the car back together meaning the job needs doing twice.

To avoid future leaks and the headache of doing the job again replace the oil filter housing gasket, oil cooler gasket & coolant pipe gaskets at the same time this is the only way to ensure a leak free install.
